The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Water of the Government of the Canary Islands has awarded the contract for “Technical Assistance Services for the Management, Monitoring and Supervision of Fuerteventura Projects” to SISTEMA INGENIERIA.

The above-mentioned works covered by the collaboration agreement between the State and the Canary Islands concerning water will be executed by several companies.

The works basically consist of constructing three regulating tanks that can contain 5,000 m3 each. There will also be a new general pipe system with a large capacity (10,000 m3/day) that will connect the Corralejo, Puerto del Rosario and Gran Tarajal desalination plants, totalling around 71 km of pipes. These works will be completed by the MATIAS MARRERO–MAXODIVER joint venture.

  • 2nd PHASE OF THE PUERTO DEL ROSARIO SEAWATER DESALINATION PLANT

The works consist of increasing the production of desalinated water by 14,000 m3/day, by installing two reverse osmosis racks of 7,000 m3/day each. These works will be completed by the DEGREMONT–MAXODIVER joint venture.

  • EL COTILLO WASTEWATER TREATMENT STATION

The design flow of the new treatment plant is 500 m3/day in two lines of 250 m3/day each. These works will be completed by the DEBEOCAN–CORPE joint venture.
